Release notes: 7 June 2021

  • Our bread-and-butter marketing tool product recommendations has been expanded with a handy product selector directly within the message preparation form, allowing you to easily remove or add products on the go, and thereby foregoing the necessity of precompiling a definite list of products to recommend. Furthermore, videos can now be filtered by language in the dialog as well.
  • Under the hood, the way the system handles preview images for e.g. products and assets has been greatly enhanced so as to facilitate future segmentation of assets into artifacts for storage, delivery and transcoding.
  • Our VOD infrastructure has received another optimization, so as to consolidate our video processing tooling in different regions and optimize fast and reliable delivery of streaming video.

Release notes: 17 May 2021

  • Our Screening Conferences receive a couple of useful tweaks, like auto-unmuting of previously auto-muted participants upon pausing video playback, and larger placeholder tiles in the participant list.
  • Our video player now offers frame-accurate playback, including a broadcast-style timecode, as an optional add-on – especially useful in case you are managing broadcast-quality video assets and/or need to address QC workflows with your MediaStore site.
  • Our recommendations have received a substantial usability upgrade: The wait time between sending a screening link and receiving it is now a few seconds only, compared to the roughly three minutes previously necessary for reasons related to users sessions and custom access.

Release notes: 26 April 2021

  • More tweaks have been made to our Screening Conferences, including multi-page PDF preview, an option per conference to disable the waiting room (participant validation), and various client-specific tweaks for those already using the tool productively.
  • Our Screening Rooms, an optional tool to showcase videos to clients in a bare-bones screening setting within our standard white-label client site, has received a considerable interface and usability upgrade.
  • We have split our asset ingest workflow into an ingest step and a transcoding step, allowing you to use (e.g. deliver) and asset shortly after upload, even while the platform preview (such as the multi-bitrate streaming proxy) is still being generated.
  • Under the hood, we ran a comprehensive database migration to ensure better performance and flexibility for the future.

Release notes: 6 April 2021

  • Another round of usability optimizations for our screening conference add-on: improved text chat visualizations; less cluttered modular side panels (participant list and webcam tiles); a “Rejoin” option for any users who have inadvertently left the conference; and further smaller tweaks.
  • Besides our optional integration of Google’s reCAPTHA form validation tool to combat spambot user registrations, we have implemented a honeypot field as an invisible alternative deterrent which doesn’t rely on any external service.
  • A new, more flexible backend for asset storage was deployed, paving the way for more complex hi-res asset (re)packaging and delivery.
  • Various client-specific tweaks were implemented.
