Existing subtitle files can be assigned to a video asset as sub-assets: see Assign as a Sub-Asset<\/a><\/span>.
\n<\/span>To upload subtitle files directly into the video asset, follow the steps below.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

  1. In the <\/span>navigation sidebar<\/span>, go to <\/span>Assets<\/b> > <\/span>All Assets<\/b><\/li>\n
  2. Scroll, search or filter to find the relevant video asset<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Select the asset to open a preview*<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. In the preview panel on the right, click <\/span>View Details<\/b><\/li>\n
  5. Go to the <\/span>Subtitles<\/b> tab and click <\/span>Upload Subtitle<\/b><\/li>\n
  6. Drag and drop or browse to upload subtitle files1<\/small><\/sup><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    • Select Preset:<\/b> Load saved upload settings.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Show in Player:<\/b> Make the subtitles available in the Client UI.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Shareable:<\/b> Allow non-admin users to share this sub-asset.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Download:<\/b> Allow users to download from the Client UI.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Restricted<\/b>: flags as embargoed content in the Client UI.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Asset Name:<\/b> Rename the sub-asset (defaults to file name).<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Access:<\/b> Change file access.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Languages:<\/b> Define the source language.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Target Geography:<\/b> Select a market region.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Status:<\/b> Set a status.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Purpose:<\/b> Select the subtitle use case.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Label:<\/b> Enter a label for display in the video player.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Notes:<\/b> Add internal-use notes.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Save Preset:<\/b> Save settings for future use.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
