{"id":3069,"date":"2016-04-27T10:59:56","date_gmt":"2016-04-27T10:59:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mediastoresupport.live-website.com\/?p=3069"},"modified":"2019-11-04T14:04:47","modified_gmt":"2019-11-04T14:04:47","slug":"interacting-with-mediastore","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mediastore.support\/?p=3069","title":{"rendered":"Interacting with MediaStore"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>When using MediaStore, you will encounter structures, buttons and other elements which behave similarly wherever they occur, though specific functionality will depend on individual context.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Use the left-hand <strong>navigation bar<\/strong> to move between sections (at smaller resolutions, a menu icon will appear instead).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Colored buttons<\/strong> such as <em>Add New<\/em> or <em>Upload New<\/em> create a new item such as a Product or User entry.<\/li>\n<li>Context-dependent <strong><em>Actions<\/em><\/strong> can be used to modify or delete <strong><em>Selected items<\/em><\/strong>. They are available either on invidivual items or can be applied to multiple ticked items at once. In addition, selected <em>Actions<\/em> can be applied to <em>All items (of all pages)<\/em> currently shown in your (filtered) list (regardless of list pagination).<\/li>\n<li>A <strong>view toggle<\/strong> (alignment icons, above the column headers) lets you select either list or grid view.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tickboxes<\/strong> can be used to select items. A <em>Select all<\/em> tickbox (top left) selects all displayed items.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Vertical arrows<\/strong> next to column headers will resort the list by the respective criteria. Clicking again will reverse the order.<\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Add Filter<\/em><\/strong> can be used to filter results by specific criteria.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong><em>Search<\/em><\/strong> icon (magnifying glass, above the column headers) will let you search the displayed data for specific terms.<\/li>\n<li>In detail views, <strong>tabs<\/strong> are available to display different sections of the current item&#8217;s metadata.<\/li>\n<li>Click any <strong>editable metadata field<\/strong> to edit its value.<\/li>\n<li>Upon entering data, <strong>mandatory fields<\/strong> are marked *.<\/li>\n<li>A <strong><em>Refresh<\/em><\/strong> icon (circular arrows, top right) can be used to reload the page in order to show its up-to-date iteration.<\/li>\n<li>Items such as Products, Assets and Users can be deleted. However, you can still <strong>recover deleted items<\/strong> afterwards (for at least two weeks). To do so, you can usually filter to <em>Include Deleted<\/em> items and then <em>Recover<\/em> them.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i class=\"fb-icon-element-1 fb-icon-element fontawesome-icon fa fa-exclamation-circle circle-no fusion-text-flow\" style=\"--awb-iconcolor:#E3001B;--awb-iconcolor-hover:#E3001B;--awb-font-size:10px;--awb-margin-right:5px;\"><\/i>Within any list views, be aware that the columns on your individual implementation of the MediaStore platform may, depending on configuration, differ from the ones shown throughout this user guide.<\/p>\n<p><i class=\"fb-icon-element-2 fb-icon-element fontawesome-icon fa fa-exclamation-circle circle-no fusion-text-flow\" style=\"--awb-iconcolor:#E3001B;--awb-iconcolor-hover:#E3001B;--awb-font-size:10px;--awb-margin-right:5px;\"><\/i>When using any of the available <em>Export to XLS<\/em> or <em>XLSX<\/em> functions, bear in mind that the XLS format is restricted to 65,536 rows and 256 columns.
