In both cases, if you wish to grant access to a User, you will need to take the required steps to set up a User entry and\/or change its initial Status<\/a>.<\/p>\n <\/i>Please note that the Access level<\/a> given to new Users by default usually should not be changed.<\/p>\n Whenever a client submits a registration<\/strong> on the public portion of your client site, you will find a Pending<\/em> User entry in Users <\/em>> Users<\/em>. The following Actions<\/em> are available to process the User:<\/p>\n <\/i>In Settings<\/em><\/a>, there is an option of defining email addresses which will receive a notification each time a new client registration comes in.<\/p>\n When approving a User, be sure select the correct data<\/em><\/p><\/div>\n If you’d like to add a User for whom no Organization entry is present yet<\/strong>, please follow these steps to set up the Organization entry first.<\/p>\n Click Add New to create an Organization<\/em><\/p><\/div>\n Please follow these steps to add a User to an existing Organization<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/i>Since each User must be assigned to an Organization<\/strong>, ensure that an Organization entry for the User you are about to create is already present (see above for how to set up an Organization).<\/p>\n <\/i>After completing these steps, the User entry will be added to the system, however you will still need to invite the User (see below) if you’d like to enable them to sign up. Otherwise, the User will merely be an Inactive<\/em> entry.<\/p>\n <\/i>If you’d like to provide access to a colleague or contractor who should also be able to access the admin site, please ensure that they are assigned to the main admin Organization. If you’re unsure, please simply check which Organization your own account is assigned to and assign the new user. Also, make sure they are given the required Role (not Client<\/em>).<\/p>\n <\/i>MediaStore is also capable of allowing external users into the admin site who should only have limited privileges – such as an external asset vendor who should have no abilities other than to upload assets. It is possible to realize this requirement by assigning a User to an Organization other than the main admin Organization and giving them a tailored, restricted Role. Please let us know if you would like to use this type of scenario.<\/p>\nProcessing Pending Users<\/h3>\n

\nOnce you’ve clicked the Approve<\/em> action, you will be presented with a dialog permitting you to review the User’s details before you Update<\/em> the entry and then Approve<\/em>. For new clients, you should use this opportunity to set the Role<\/em> to Client<\/em>. The recipient will receive a signup link via email; once they have completed signup, the User status will change from Invited<\/em> to Active<\/em>:<\/p>\n\n
