MediaStore is browser-based, with auto-scaling infrastructure and multi-bitrate streaming, supporting most preexisting network configurations.
On corporate or managed networks, access to video streaming may be restricted; please consult your network or system administrator if you experience issues.
Network Requirements
Your internet connection should permit a download/upload speed of at least 10 Mbit/s, ideally at least 50 Mbit/s.
Network speed recommendations assume single-user usage; multiple concurrent streams may require proportionally higher bandwidth.
A stable connection with low latency is optimal for streaming.
The following TCP ports should be open:
- https: 443
- (optional) https: 80
VPNs may interfere with uploads/streaming if they route traffic slowly. See Basic Troubleshooting for details.
Some browsers handle large uploads differently. See Software & Operating System Requirements for recommended browsers.
When uploading large video files, we recommend a wired Ethernet connection rather than Wi-Fi where possible for best performance.
Email Delivery & Firewall Settings
To ensure reliable email delivery, your organisation’s email security or spam filtering system may need to allow certain senders.
Please ensure you can receive:
-
Emails sent from the mediastore.app domain
-
Emails sent on your behalf from MediaStore’s servers, where the “From” address is your own email address but the message is delivered by MediaStore (for example, client recommendations and other client-facing emails)
These settings are typically managed at the email gateway or mail server level, rather than within your mail application settings.
Network Speed Tests
To verify your connection meets the minimum network requirements, we recommend running a web-based speed test.
You can use one of the following tools:
-
Speedtest by Ookla: https://www.speedtest.net
-
SpeedOf.Me: https://speedof.me
After running the test, confirm that your download and upload speeds meet the recommended requirements.
